The Chair for Transitions in Agricultural Territories was launched on Thursday, June 2 by the University of Technology of Troyes. UniLaSalle, via the InTerACT research unit, is one of the chair's partners.
Created in 2021, the Chair "Transitions of agricultural territories" is the result of a partnership between an association of farmers from the North of Aube, Green Warriors, three research units (InSyTE-UTT, SADAPT-AgroParisTech, InTerACT-UniLaSAlle) and the UTT Foundation - joined since then by various actors-patrons linked to the agricultural world.
The chair's ambition is to imagine the agriculture of tomorrow with today's farmers. To this end, it plans to develop interdisciplinary analysis tools designed to assess the impact of transitions taking place within agricultural and food systems on agricultural territories, in response to a complex set of economic, environmental and societal constraints that weigh on these systems. Supporting stakeholders involved in the transition through action research is another area of work on which the Chair's partners will work.
The results of the research undertaken within the conglomerate will make it possible to ensure the sustainability and resilience of diversified agricultural and food systems, to reconnect agriculture with the dynamics of the territory, and to co-construct & transfer knowledge thanks to the trust between farmers and researchers.
On the UniLaSalle side, the chair will be coordinated by Loïc Sauvée, teacher-researcher - HDR in management sciences.
