Two PhD students from this unit, Wendy Sztupecki and Mahrokh Ebrahimi, have been selected to present their respective work:

• Transformation of wheat non-starch polysaccharides to optimize their functional and nutritional characteristics   
• Characterization of lignin extracted from Miscanthus giganteus by ozonation in a pilot reactor.

This congress welcomes experts from all over the world to present and discuss the latest advances in knowledge and technology for the development and application of ozone-based processes or any other advanced oxidation system for :

• Environmental preservation and human health protection (water, gas, soil and waste purification)   
• Industrial manufacturing and packaging (pulp, food, chemicals, etc.)   
• Medical therapy
