Within the framework of our label Generation 2024: a moment of exchange and conviviality in partnership with the departmental committee of judo of the Oise.
Taking advantage of their presence in Europe following their participation in the Paris Grand Slam, the Cuban judo team, led by Idalys Ortíz, four-time Olympic medalist (including an Olympic title in London in 2012) and multi-medalist at the world championships, stopped by UniLaSalle Beauvais last Thursday, March 9, at the invitation of the Oise departmental judo committee.
On the program for the high-level athletes and their coaches present, a time of playful, sporting and relaxed exchange with students of the school: visit of the campus, meal at the CROUS, laser game, basketball, chamboule-tout...
Beyond a simple visit, the presence of the team of a leading judo nation on our campus in Beauvais is a great opportunity to promote this martial art and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games among students.
UniLaSalle is fully invested in the promotion of sport: in addition to the academic courses in the 1st and 2nd years and the setting up of an accommodation scheme for high-level sportsmen and women, the engineering school received the "Generation 2024" label in February 2019.
