Normandy for Peace, the conference cycle "The World in 2049" by the magazine L'OBS and with the participation of UniLasalle, met for a round table on the theme of water (replay below).

Water is at the heart of considerable stakes (social, agricultural, economic, political...), the factors of degradation are multiple and attributable to different groups of water users (urban, industrial, farmers) and, in the coming years, the challenges will increase even more, due, in particular, to the increase in population and global warming.

Valérie Leroux, UniLaSalle's Delegate Director General, and François-Xavier Priollaud, Vice-President of the Normandy Region, in charge of Europe, international affairs and the influence of Normandy, introduced the conference.

Then to discuss this major and topical subject, the round table was moderated by Arnaud Gonzague, deputy editor in chief at L'OBS, and in the presence of :

• Esther Crauser-Delbourg, environmental economist, specialized in water resources issues (more info)   
• Michaël Goujon, associate professor in hydrogeology and polluted sites and soils at UniLaSalle (more info)   
• Marie-Laure Vercambre, general manager of the French Water Partnership (more info)

At the exit of the amphitheater, the students present are unanimous: the round table was dynamic and exciting, we were not bored for a minute, it was very well explained so really accessible, I loved the speakers, Paul, 3rd year student at UniLaSalle Rouen.

After that, we met a retired couple who also congratulated the experts present: delighted to have been able to learn so much from these experts, and moreover in a format accessible to all and free of charge, well done.

Finally, Yvon Gervaise, expert-consultant and lecturer on many topics including science and the environment also shared his feedback, very nice round table, interesting and allowed me to exchange with the speakers.
