On March 23 and 24, 2022, the UniLaSalle Polytechnic Institute hosted the first edition of the Ozone Days on its campus in Beauvais (60).
The use of ozone for the valorization of lignocellulosic fibers and agro-resources is in full development throughout the world. There is a real need to bring together researchers and industrialists in order to develop applications using ozone, accompanying the process from research to industrial application. During two days, this conference presented a state of the art of the development of ozone applications (pulp bleaching, preservation of agro-resources...) and demonstrated the potential of ozone in the treatment of the latter.
This event brought together a national and international audience, composed of researchers (teachers-researchers, doctoral students) and industrialists of the sectors concerned. The potential of ozone is very large and is the subject of work in many European laboratories and research centers.
The conference was spread over 3 half-days. Two were devoted to scientific and technical exchanges on the potential of ozone in the valorization of plant biomasses. The third presented the means offered by UniLaSalle for laboratory or pilot studies and included a detailed visit of the Ozone LaSalle O3 R&D platform.
This conference was co-organized with the Grenoble Polytechnic Institute (Grenoble INP Pagora/LGP2), in the framework of the Ozone Scientific Grouping created in 2018 between these two partners. During these two days, 100 people from 10 different countries were present.
