Monday September 4 marks the start of the new academic year for engineering and veterinary students at UniLaSalle Rouen, as well as for Christophe Bostvironnois, who takes up his new post as Campus Director.
Christophe Bostvironnois, a veterinary surgeon for over twenty years with extensive international experience in animal health and nutrition, has been appointed Director of the UniLaSalle Rouen campus. His diverse background brings a unique perspective to higher education and to the Rouen campus.
VETERINARIAN BUT ALSO A PLAYER IN ANIMAL HEALTH AND NUTRITION IN AN INTERNATIONAL CONTEXT
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Biologist in the French Army, Christophe Bostvironnois has forged an impressive career in the field of animal health. He spent almost 7 years with InVivo, the national union of French agricultural cooperatives, before joining Elanco, a world leader in animal health products. For 16 years, he evolved within the company on an international scale, holding various technical, sales and marketing positions. In 2018, he joined Chr.Hansen, a Danish biotech company, as Global Director of Business Development for swine and poultry species, doubling sales in five years in a fast-growing market.
Outside his professional career, Christophe Bostvironnois is a deeply committed man. Since 2013, he has chaired the "Children of Ethiopia" association, an organization that funds a school in Ethiopia and supports around 200 children by providing education, food and clothing. In 2014, he became President of WPSA France, the French branch of the World Poultry Science Association, demonstrating his commitment to humanitarian causes and the poultry industry.
In search of a new challenge, one that is always meaningful and forward-looking, he has agreed to lead the UniLaSalle Rouen campus.

Why did you decide to join UniLaSalle (Rouen)?
I joined UniLaSalle for three reasons: the UniLaSalle brand, the Rouen project and the people I met.
UniLaSalle is a strong brand, a leader in its field and with values that are close to my own: teamwork, commitment, mutual respect, working for a better world and fighting against inequalities.
For the Rouen project, of course, with its two facets: engineering and its unique international positioning, and the rise of France's leading private veterinary school.
And thirdly, for the people I've met at UniLaSalle. The welcome, the friendliness, the quality and depth of the discussions convinced me.
In the end, people follow people.
How do you perceive higher education?
Education is a vehicle for individual fulfillment, collective development and freedom. In the course of my career, I've been in contact with many universities around the world. First of all, the level of education is rising all over the world, which is excellent news. I've also been able to see for myself how difficult it is for some young people to gain access, whether for economic, political or social reasons.
We have a huge responsibility.
