Further proof that UniLaSalle's dynamic excellence in the fields of Earth, life and environmental sciences is recognized by companies, three UniLaSalle programs have made it to the podium of the best programs in the Eduniversal 2021 ranking:
- 1st among the best bachelor's degrees in environment and sustainable development,
- 2nd among engineering school programs specializing in agriculture and agronomy,
- 3rd among engineering school programs specializing in environment and planning.
Since 2009, the Eduniversal ranking has measured the degree of expertise of a program and the training capacity of a school or university through an evaluation based on the three relevant criteria:
- The reputation of the training program, as measured by recruiter recognition;
- The quality of placement after graduation, measured by salary and further studies;
- Graduate satisfaction, as measured by an EdUniversal survey.
These three awards demonstrate the high quality of our training courses, in a setting that promotes the well-being of our students during their studies.
This year, UniLaSalle's "Environment and Sustainable Development" Bachelor's degree confirms its steady progress, taking 1st place after two consecutive years in second place. A unique course at this level, it combines a scientific and technical approach to the environment with the development of economic and social management skills.
According to Thierry Henrion, head of UniLaSalle's Bachelor Environment & Sustainable Development program: "The rise in environmental concerns among citizens and consumers is having a profound impact on companies and local authorities. With these changes, companies' needs for employees capable of carrying out ecological, economic and digital transitions are evolving. Opting for a Bachelor's degree in Environment and Sustainable Development means choosing a professional training program, which trains operational profiles with multi-skills (environmental, social, economic, scientific, etc.) capable of proposing continuous improvement solutions and optimizing the activities of economic players (companies, local authorities, associations, NGOs) from an environmental and social point of view".

Although UniLaSalle is a post-baccalaureate program, the quality of its training and placement on leaving the school has enabled it to join the podium of post-prep programs (AgroParisTech, ENSAT Toulouse, ENSAIA Nancy, Montpellier SupAgro, Bordeaux Sciences Agro), up two places on last year. The Agronomy and Agro-industries engineering program at the Beauvais and Rouen campuses is available as a student or apprentice, as well as through continuing education.
According to Marc Legras, Director of the "Agronomy and Agro-Industries" engineering program at the Rouen campus: "The fact that companies in the agricultural sector - whether in production, processing or services - have taken on board the challenges of Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility has led to an evolution in skills requirements in these sectors. UniLaSalle's "Agronomy and Agro-industries" engineering program is built on a multi-disciplinary approach, with a central and ongoing focus on sustainability assessment (whatever the production or processing system), giving our engineering profiles the agility to offer companies solutions to current transitions".
For those with an international career in mind, the i-SAFE program is available in a 100% English version from the first post-baccalaureate year.
UniLaSalle joins the podium of post-prep programs, up two places on last year. UniLaSalle's pedagogical approach is resolutely geared towards early practical application, thanks to in-company internships and role-playing during the first two years of the post-baccalaureate curriculum. In September 2021, the Environmental Engineering program will also be available as an apprenticeship, further improving access to employment.
According to Catherine Ricordel, Director of the Environmental Engineering program at Rennes, "training in environmental engineering means wanting to participate in the ecological and energy transition to combat the imbalance in biodiversity, climate change and the preservation of resources. It's about understanding the challenges facing society, organizations and local areas, so you can respond more effectively. It means acquiring the technical, human and managerial skills needed to rethink the way we produce, in order to reduce the environmental impact of human activities by preventing, managing and treating pollution of water, air and soil, and by developing the circular economy. Environmental engineering leads to professions linked to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), but also to professions linked to energy, buildings and mobility".
