UniLaSalle Beauvais welcomed a group of 14 students from Chiba University (Japan) as part of an international mobility program. With backgrounds in medicine, nursing, materials science, horticulture and chemistry, they came to Beauvais primarily to develop their ability to communicate in English.
During their two-week stay, the group was also able to discover several of the disciplines taught on our Beauvais campus, through a soil study and a cooking practical. For their part, the medical and nursing students were impressed by a visit to SimUSanté, a center for active teaching focused on medical sciences based in Amiens, with which UnilaSalle has forged links. Time was also set aside for exchanges with several student associations (Com'internationale, Com'un chef).
As well as the educational aspect, the 14 students from Chiba University had the opportunity to explore the cultural and natural riches of Hauts-de-France and Paris. The Baie de Somme, Amiens, the Louvre Museum, the Sainte-Chapelle or Auvers-sur-Oise... Numerous visits that will surely remain in their memories enriched their stay in France.
This incoming mobility program is part of a partnership between UniLaSalle and Chiba University. Each year, two groups of students enrolled at the Japanese university come to stay, in spring on our Beauvais campus, and in autumn on our Amiens campus.
