Two students from UniLaSalle Rouen win first place in the Clap de Champs competition with their innovative video on the benefits of sorghum.
Clap de Champs, a success story at UniLaSalle
Last year, students from Rouen won the "Coup de Coeur" prize and the "Prix de la Pedagogie". This year, Manon Bibaut and Solène Désesquelles, 4th year students at UniLaSalle Rouen, won the Clap de Champs competition with their captivating video highlighting the benefits of sorghum. This versatile cereal of African origin attracted the students with its unique qualities and varied uses.
Thanks to their creativity and their new-found passion for sorghum, Manon and Solène stood out among the competition participants. Their video captivated attention by highlighting the benefits of sorghum, including its resistance to drought and its usefulness in a variety of industries.
Indeed, sorghum is increasingly prized for its ability to thrive in drought conditions. It also offers a wide range of uses, from animal feed to renewable energy production.
Clap de Champs is much more than just a competition. It's a national initiative, organized by ARVALIS, dedicated to students in higher agricultural education, with the aim of promoting technical innovation and solutions for modern agriculture. Each participating team is invited to present an innovation that improves the management of field crops and forages.
Congratulations to Manon and Solène on their well-deserved victory!
