Enedis, manager of the electricity distribution network, and the UniLaSalle Amiens School of Digital and Energy Engineering have just taken a new step forward in their collaboration by signing a partnership agreement to boost professional integration and innovation in the energy sector.
The 3-year agreement provides for concrete actions to promote the professional integration of talented young people and meet the expectations of the energy sector.
A win-win agreement for jobs in the energy transition professions
With its expertise in energy, engineering and the environment, the UniLaSalle School of Energy & Digital Engineering is a major player in the region, providing a wealth of talent and research projects. This expertise is of interest to Enedis, the main operator of the public electricity distribution network.
Through this partnership, Enedis aims to provide students with a better understanding of the challenges facing the electrical system and its current developments (strong momentum in the connection of renewable energies, development of electric mobility, electrification of industrial processes, etc.), with a view to creating vocations.
For its part, the UniLaSalle School intends to give its students and faculty the benefit of experience-sharing by providing information on industrial techniques, organizing “vis-ma-vie” alongside employees, and organizing visits to electrical installations. Enedis is also committed to welcoming students for internships or work-study programs, and to taking part in the School's recruitment events. A former UniLaSalle Amiens student, now an Enedis employee, has also been assigned to ensure the smooth flow of exchanges and operations between the School and Enedis.
“This partnership with Enedis is a step that reinforces our vision of a Learning By Doing pedagogy, unique to UniLaSalle. This collaboration is a fantastic opportunity for our students to come face to face with the realities of the energy sector and prepare for the challenges of tomorrow.”
Jérôme Fortin, Director of UniLaSalle Amiens.
A strong signal of collaboration between the education and energy sectors
This partnership between Enedis and UniLaSalle Amiens marks an important step in the collaboration between the academic world and the energy sector. It confirms the shared desire to strengthen the skills of young talent to meet today's energy, ecological and economic challenges, and to prepare tomorrow's engineers for the demands of the job market.
By becoming a company with a mission, Enedis is demonstrating its desire to contribute to a fairer, more sustainable French society, in collaboration with its partners. To successfully carry out its project in a context of profound economic, ecological, technological and regulatory transformations, Enedis needs to recruit new talent in order to renew and strengthen the skills that are essential to fulfilling its public service mission in the general interest.
“Enedis is proud to partner with UniLaSalle Amiens to prepare tomorrow's talent for the challenges of the energy transition. This partnership is a real opportunity for our two entities to grow together.”
Véronique Pauly, Regional Director of Enedis in Picardy
