On Tuesday January 7, 2025, UniLaSalle Amiens laid the foundation stone for its future student residence on rue de la Résistance. This project, carried out in partnership with AMSOM Habitat, marks an important step in meeting the growing need for student accommodation in the region.
An ambitious, strategic project
The residence, located less than 10 minutes from the UniLaSalle Amiens campus, benefits from a strategic location close to the city center, the train station and the lively Saint-Leu district.
It will offer :
- 250 T1 studios and 1 T3 apartment,
- Shared spaces: coworking area, fitness room, laundry area, bicycle repair room, private garden,
- Parking: 25 car parking spaces and 250 bicycle parking spaces.
- All apartments have been designed to optimize space while guaranteeing maximum comfort. Each studio will feature a functional living space:
- Integrated entrance with access to a private bathroom,
- Optimized kitchen area adjacent to the bathroom,
- Practical storage space (cupboards, headboard with integrated storage),
- Soundproofing and thermal insulation in compliance with 2020 environmental regulations (RE2020).
An environmentally-friendly project
The residence meets today's sustainability challenges:
- Energy: connection to the Amiens Énergies heating network for heating and hot water,
- Sustainable construction: concrete structure and hollow brick façade,
- Resource management: controlled mechanical ventilation (CMV) and air handling unit for common areas,
- Rainwater: controlled discharge into the public network with storage basins.
Numerous personalities and partners involved in the project were present at the ceremony, including :
- Maxence Hincelin, President of the UniLaSalle Amiens General Student Association,
- Véronique Clech, President of AMSOM Habitat,
- Philippe Choquet, General Manager of UniLaSalle,
- Hubert de Jenlis, Mayor of Amiens,
- Alain Gest, President of Amiens Métropole.
The speeches highlighted the project's values: innovation, social commitment and contribution to the city of Amiens.
A vision for students
This residence has been designed as a real place to live, promoting exchanges and student well-being. It is in line with UniLaSalle's dynamic approach, which aims to offer its students optimal conditions for academic success and personal fulfillment.
The foundation stone symbolizes much more than the start of construction: it represents a decisive step for the UniLaSalle Amiens campus and its entire community. We look forward to welcoming students here in September 2026.
