UniLaSalle Beauvais is hosting the exhibition “Les Pop'up de l'Histoire naturelle” from April 3 to May 5, 2025: 5 interactive modules for exploring living things in a different way.

From April 3 to May 5, 2025, UniLaSalle Beauvais will be hosting a unique scientific exhibition in the heart of its campus: The Pop'up Natural History Museum. Held in the school's historic farm and documentation center, this traveling exhibition, designed by the National Museum of Natural History in partnership with Ombelliscience, aims to make science accessible to everyone, especially those who are not familiar with scientific culture.

An exhibition that folds, unfolds and... comes to life!

Inspired by children's pop-up books, the Pop'ups are truly fun, poetic and educational modules. Easy to transport and install, they can be used in a variety of places: schools, libraries, heritage sites, community centers, etc. At UniLaSalle, you can explore the five modules of this unique exhibition, designed to arouse curiosity about the mechanisms of life, question our relationship with nature and promote the natural sciences.

The 5 Pop'ups to discover:

Natural History

An introductory module that immerses us in the world of museums and naturalist observation. With the silhouette of a giant woodpecker at its center, this module invites us to explore our connection to the living world and to question our place in nature.

Curious specimens

Why collect and conserve the elements of nature? This module presents a selection of objects from naturalist collections, and shows how valuable these treasures are for scientific research.

Family reunion

A journey through the tree of life to understand the classification of species and the evolutionary links between them. A true/false game shakes up preconceived ideas!

All connected

Two ecosystems to explore: the edge of the forest and the ocean. Thanks to interactive devices (glasses with vision filters, gears, tabs, etc.), visitors discover the interactions between species and food webs.

Chrono-paleo

A large illustrated and interactive frieze allows visitors to explore the history of life on Earth through 20 major events. A time wheel completes the experience, allowing visitors to compare the different scales of time.
