The Platypus Xplorer team, which proudly represents the UniLaSalle colors, has qualified for the world finals of the NGEA (Next Generation of Explorers Award), which will take place during the PDAC (Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada) annual convention, from March 8 to 11 by videoconference.
This international competition open to geoscience students aims to decipher geo-scientific data and to restore this information in the form of identification of exploration targets.
The members of Playtypus Xplorer, all from the 4th and 5th year of the Mine and Career course at the Beauvais campus, will join the five other teams qualified for this last phase of the competition and will have to present the results of their work to a panel of mining industry professionals. During the qualifying phases, our students focused on gold and copper exploration, succeeded in valorizing these study areas with industry investors, and discovered new approaches to generate potential exploration targets.
Good luck to Mélanie, Alexandre, Arthur, Pierre, Emerik & Maxime for the rest of your adventure!
