A research article by UniLaSalle teacher-researchers has confirmed the impact of tillage on the structuring of soil fauna communities.
Anne-Maïmiti Dulaurent, associate professor in animal ecology and agroecology has just published with David Houben, Nicolas Honvault, Michel-Pierre Faucon, and Matthieu Chauvat, associate professor at the University of Rouen Normandy, a scientific article on the effects of Soil Conservation Agriculture and soil fauna communities.
The article highlights the results of a project conducted with students in the Agroecology, Soils, Waters and Territories (ASET) 156 class, in partnership with APAD Picardie, and confirms the impact of tillage on the structuring of soil fauna communities.
Above all, it shows, through a systemic approach that takes into account the diversity of practices in conservation agriculture, that the characteristics of plant cover (quantity and quality) play a dominant role in the structuring of springtails communities, but not in that of earthworm communities.
