200 students and employees from the Beauvais campus were trained in life-saving techniques during an awareness day organized with the SDIS60 and Groupama Paris Val-de-Loire.

On Thursday, March 27, UniLaSalle Beauvais organized a day of awareness-raising on first aid, in partnership with Groupama Paris Val-de-Loire and the Service Départemental d'Incendie et de Secours de l'Oise (SDIS60) This initiative, designed to reinforce the culture of prevention on campus, made it possible to train 200 members of the Lasallian community, including 170 students and 30 staff members.

The training sessions, supervised by seven trainers from SDIS60, took place in two sessions on the site of the educational farm, in groups of ten people in order to focus on practice and learning. Participants were introduced to simple but essential actions: alerting the emergency services, putting a victim in the recovery position, performing cardiac massage with a defibrillator, stopping bleeding, intervening in the event of choking or even reacting to a burn or trauma.

Throughout the day, information and prevention stands were also accessible to the entire campus. Groupama Paris Val-de-Loire, the SDIS60, the Department of Educational Mission and Student Life of the Beauvais campus, as well as the student association “Com'un réserviste” were thus able to talk to students and staff, answer questions and raise awareness of the importance of these actions that can save a life.

A long-standing partner of UniLaSalle, Groupama Paris Val-de-Loire was represented on site by a committed team, alongside Valérie Detappe, President of the Oise Federation of Groupama Paris Val-de-Loire. Together, they upheld the values of prevention dear to the mutual insurance company, in the continuity of a partnership based on concrete actions in the service of the territory.

Each person trained left with a recognized certificate, and above all with reflexes that can make all the difference. This collective mobilization illustrates the school's commitment to training responsible citizens who are capable of acting in emergency situations.
