On July 7, 2020, UniLaSalle obtained validation for the creation of its Apprentice Training Center (CFA), dedicated to agronomy, geology, food-health, and environmental professions. This CFA will integrate its first apprentices from the start of the 2020 school year. In total, approximately 150 apprentices will join UniLaSalle in the 3rd and 4th years in September 2020. The 350 apprentices already enrolled in the courses will finalize their contracts with UniLaSalle's historical CFAs, IRFA APISUP (Amiens) and Naturapôle (Yvetot).
The creation of the UniLaSalle CFA supports the school's desired policy in terms of apprenticeship: freedom from territories (the 2018 Law allows CFAs to free themselves from regional territories and UniLaSalle is present in 3 regions) and control over the development of apprenticeship. This creation will thus make it possible to develop the work-study method and the recruitment of apprentices for all the engineering and bachelor's courses on the Beauvais, Rouen and Rennes campuses.
With the opening of this CFA, UniLaSalle's ambition is to make the diversity and richness of its training courses and its pedagogy better known in real conditions, to offer professional opportunities to apprentices on completion of their diploma thanks to the Institute's network of partner companies, and moreover to be a player in the professional integration of future young workers.
The first UniLaSalle apprenticeship contract signed
This new dynamic of the UniLaSalle Polytechnic Institute was reflected in the signing, on Tuesday 21 July, of the CFA's very first apprenticeship contract with the Biokar diagnostics company (Solabia group). Based in Beauvais (Oise), Biokar Diagnostics is dedicated to the development, production and marketing of culture media and detection kits for microbiology laboratories. In September, it will welcome a 4th year Lasallian apprentice in the Agronomy and Agro-industries program.
