4th year Environmental Engineering students had the opportunity to visit the Montauban-de-Bretagne Biogas Plant (35). The visit was part of the waste management and recovery module.

Thank you ENGIE BiOZ for opening your doors to us!

They discovered :

  • The short circuit operation of the methanization plant
  • The importance of using the thermal energy produced by cogeneration on the site, as well as the valorization of local agricultural and agri-food waste.
  • The role of the methanization unit within a local circular economy.
  • The adjacent greenhouses operated by SCEA JEAN-FRANCOIS LEVREL and discussions on agricultural inputs, biomethanization and the return of digestate to the soil.
