The 2024 edition of the Unilympiades has struck again! Every year, this unique event brings together the four UniLaSalle campuses for a day of pure energy, on the Normandy campus. An unmissable moment where sport, atmosphere and sharing were the key words.
Sport, atmosphere and conviviality: the essence of the Unilympiades
The Unilympiades is the only event that brings together students from all four UniLaSalle campuses. The eagerly-awaited event combines sporting competition and festivities, creating an ideal setting for strengthening ties between students.
Sports results:
- Soccer: Rennes leads, followed by Rouen and Beauvais.
- Rugby: Rouen wins the men's and women's events, ahead of Rennes.
- Basketball: Rouen wins, with Amiens in second place.
- Handball: Amiens takes first place, followed by Rouen.
- Tennis: Amiens dominates once again, followed by Rennes and Rouen.
But the Unilympiades isn't just about sport, it's also about an incredible atmosphere! The Rouen cheerleaders opened the festivities with an energetic performance in the morning, getting everyone into the spirit of conviviality and team spirit. The fans then gave their all on the pitch and in the stands to win the best atmosphere contest, with Amiens taking the fans' trophy!
And for those who wanted to have fun off the pitch, there were activities such as a mechanical bull and tug-of-war. These activities reinforced the spirit of camaraderie and sharing, creating unique moments between students from different campuses.
An event created by students, for students!
Every year, a student association is created specifically to organize the Unilympiades, and this year was no exception. Rouen students rose to the challenge with their original theme: the Unilympiades invade the Wild West! In collaboration with the BDE and BDS of the four campuses, and thanks to the support of sponsors such as Jeune Montagne, Vico, Oasis and RedBull, they succeeded in raising over 1,800 euros and numerous donations to ensure the success of the event.
The president of the organizing association, Alix Ramet, makes no secret of his pride: “The team is top-notch, and I'm lucky to have been able to work with my friends and pull off an event of this scale. All 4 campuses responded, so it's a pleasure.”
Throughout the day, the Lasallian values of sharing, teamwork and commitment were at the heart of the event, reminding us of the importance of these moments in uniting the student community.
Whether on the pitches or in the stands, the 2024 edition of the Unilympiades once again proved that this event is essential for uniting UniLaSalle campuses. Beyond the sports, it was the spirit of sharing, conviviality and celebration that marked the day, and we're very proud of it.
