Since the arrival of veterinary training in 2022, numerous projects to transform the campus have been on the agenda. On Monday, May 6, an important milestone was reached: the start of construction work on the Veterinary School Hospital and Academic Extensions (CHEV)!

Début des travaux sur l'emplacement du futur centre hospitalier

This future facility, which will be inaugurated in 2025, will be used for the clinical cycle:

During this phase of their studies, future veterinarians will follow clinical rotations to progress towards the acquisition of the "first-day skills" required to obtain the Certificate of Fundamental Veterinary Studies (CEFV).

And for that, they won't have to go far...

The CHEV has been designed as close as possible to the existing structure: on the current student parking lot to be precise. This will be replaced by an underground version.
The 10,000 m² CHEV and academic extensions will comprise a technical platform on the first floor, and two floors dedicated to teaching, research and administrative functions.

CHEV is also a real project for Normandy

The UniLaSalle CHEV will be the first veterinary hospital in Normandy! Ultimately, it will complete the range of services available to animals.

Many thanks to the Région Normandie and the Métropole Rouen Normandie for their financial support, and to the many people involved in making this project a success!
