The Geotechnics and Natural Hazards program is intended in particular for students interested in a career in development and construction, sectors in which the geological engineer intervenes upstream to study the characteristics of the subsoil that will house the new infrastructure.
Your solid knowledge of the different types of subsoil will enable you to establish geotechnical diagnoses prior to the construction of large infrastructures (roads, tunnels, bridges, buildings, etc.) in order to take into account the natural risks linked to the terrain in their design.
In regular contact with the project owner, the geotechnician is also able to propose remedies when a problem related to natural risks has already caused damage to the building.
The training is divided between lectures, field schools and practical cases
