As part of the Environmental Engineering training, students choose to focus on the themes of their major, which defines a career path.

One of the "Environmental Assessment" majors is led by Reynald Lherbier, LCA and environmental assessment teacher at UniLaSalle Rennes. The objective of this one:

To train students in environmental assessment through several methods such as life cycle assessment (LCA) and carbon footprint. As a result, students will be able to determine the potential environmental impacts of products, services, organizations, etc.

An environmental assessment includes the evaluation of its carbon footprint. In this sense, the 4th year Environmental Engineering students have completed the Bilan Carbone® training.

Reynald Lherbier explains the interest of this training:

"The Bilan Carbone® training aims to train students to carry out Bilan Carbone, which is recognized by the regulations. It is a real advantage for our engineering students, also because these skills are highly sought after by employers. In France, more and more structures are carrying out their carbon footprints, and it is obvious for us to equip students for their professional life".

The experience was rich and interesting for all.

The 57 students received a certificate of training in the Bilan Carbone® method.
